North East Rugby League Round Up

The Crusaders pick up their first win of the season while Rockets run riot in their league and cup double header.

Peterlee Pumas 16 – 78 Catterick Crusaders

The Crusaders picked up their first win of the season in emphatic fashion as they put a 78-point performance together. In what was a re-arranged first round fixture saw Crusaders claim the win and as a result climb the table to 5th place.

Durham Demons 32 – 76 Cramlington Rockets

In what was classed as a North East Men’s League and Cup double saw Cramlington Rockets run riot with captain Joey Bell leading from the front. Centre Joe Capless also played a pivotal role as he claimed a fantastic hattrick which included a full-length effort. Rockets now leap over Edinburgh Eagles on points difference and claim the number one spot while the Demons are left searching for their first win in the 2019 North East League season.
