Liam Scott First Team Prop D.O.B 24/09/1994 Height 186 cm Weight 106 kg North East Rugby League player of the year for 2016, Liam Scott steps up to professional rugby league after agreeing to join Newcastle Thunder. A forward comfortable in either the front or second row, Scott enjoyed an outstanding first season in rugby league after joining Wallsend Eagles in a cross cross-code from rugby union side Percy Park. His performances for the Eagles, in a season that they completed the league season with nine wins from nine, earned him the headline award at September’s North East Rugby League awards dinner and caught the eye of Thunder coaches and management during August’s North East grand final at Kingston Park. A physical player with an aggressive approach, Scott carries well with excellent ball handling skills and shows excellent game awareness with his hard running lines. Following the same path as Ali Blair to the Thunder first team, Scott hopes to make a similar impact when the season begins in February with the League 1 Cup.
