Remy Marginet

French international scrum-half Remy Marginet is one of the headline names in the 2019 Newcastle Thunder squad, having made an instant impact since joining in May 2018.

Arriving on Tyneside from Elite One Championship side Palau Broncos, Marginet has made his class felt with his arrival coinciding with a sharpening of Thunder’s attacking threat.

The 29-year-old has brought a wealth of experience to Kingston Park Stadium from an 11-year career, which has seen him play on both sides of the channel for AS Saint Esteve, Catalan Dragons, Featherstone Rovers and Sheffield Eagles.

Capped seven times for his country, Marginet has featured in European Championships and the Rugby League World Cup, having been called into the 2017 squad as a replacement for Guillaume Bonnet.

Good with the ball in hand and at kicking for goal, Marginet is an exciting player and in his 10 outings for Thunder to date has scored 88 points with four tries and 36 goals.
