Challenge Cup details confirmed

Newcastle Thunder’s fifth round Coral Challenge Cup has been confirmed for Sunday 15th March at Kingston Park Stadium, with a 3pm kick off.

Thunder will host the winners of Whitehaven v Dewsbury Rams, with that fourth-round tie still to be played as they look to make it into the sixth round of the competition for the first time since 2009.

Simon Finnigan’s side advanced beyond the fourth round of rugby league’s oldest knock out competition by virtue of a 30-10 win over amateur side Siddal ARLFC with six tries from Alex Clegg, Sam Blake (x2), Sam Luckley, Mikey Wood and Joe Brown seeing Newcastle home.

With Challenge Cup matches having split gates, all spectators must purchase tickets for this match, with sales beginning from 9am on Friday 28th February.

Season ticket holders have a week-long window to secure their regular seat and purchase any additional tickets, with any unsold tickets Going back into the general sale in time for the first hike League 1 game of the season against Workington

Match day prices for the game will be £15 for adults, £13 for concessions and £3 for under 16s, with adult and concessions tickets purchased in advance qualifying for a £5 early purchase discount.
