MATCH DAY INFO – Workington Town

The 2020 Betfred League 1 season arrives at Kingston Park Stadium on Sunday when Workington Town are Newcastle Thunder’s visitors for the first league home game of the season (KO 3pm)

It is a busy day at the ground with three games taking place as the U18s, Reserves and first team all play fixtures.

Make the most of your day with the following important bits of information.

Ticket sales – Advanced ticket sales are available now, with adult tickets priced from £10, concessions from £8 and Under 16s priced from £3. The ticket price for adults and concessions increase on match-day so make sure you buy yours early!

Triple header – Sunday is a landmark for the club with three Thunder teams playing games on the same matchday with the U18s and Reserves taking on their counterparts from Hull KR ahead of the Betfred League 1 game against Workington Town.

Tickets grant entry to all three games, with the U18s kicking off first at 11:00 and the Reserves at 12:45

Gates opening & entry – Turnstiles to gain entry to Kingston Park Stadium will be open from 13:30. Entry to the stadium will be via East Stand turnstiles.

Supporter wishing to watch the U18s or Reserve fixtures should enter via the main Tap & Tackle entrance.

Supporter Accommodation – Spectators will watch the match from the East side of the ground. If your ticket is for a reserved seat, please sit in the seat for which your ticket is valid for.

Holders of general admission tickets can access available unreserved seats in the East Stand or stand alongside the east perimeter of the pitch. Please follow directions from the stewarding team.

Tyne & Wear Metro – Supporters travelling to the game from South Tyneside on Sunday are advised of engineering works taking place on the Metro system with service suspensions in place.

No trains are running between Heworth & Jarrow on the yellow line and between Heworth and Brockley Whins on the green line. Bus service 900 will replace affected yellow line services and service 901 will replace green line services.

Please allow extra time for your journey.

Parking – The Kingston Park car park will be open for this fixture, with spaces available for over 400 vehicles on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking is charged at £5 per vehicle.

Club Shop – Located on the ground floor of the East Stand, the club shops will be open from 10:00 and is fully stocked with Thunder’s brand new 2020 range of merchandise by Macron, including replica and match authentic shirts.

Post-Match – The East Stand will be the focus of events after the match, with the venue open until 10 pm
