Match Day Information – Wakefield Trinity

A new exciting season of rugby league gets underway this Saturday when Thunder host Betfred Super League side Wakefield Trinity to Kingston Park Stadium, for a eagerly anticipated pre-season friendly.

Both sides have named strong squads for the game, with Trinity fielding a number of their first team squad and Thunder set to introduce a good number of their new for 2019 signings to the home fans.

It promises to be an exciting afternoon of rugby league in the North East, with this the important match day information to make the most of your day.

Kick off – Saturday’s game kicks off at 14:00

Ticket sales – Advanced ticket sales are available now, with adult tickets priced at £10 and juniors priced at £5.

Gates opening & entry – Turnstiles to gain entry to Kingston Park Stadium will be open from 12:30

Ground entry – Entry to the stadium will be via East Stand turnstiles for match ticket. Hospitality guests will enter via the main East Stand doors.

Parking – The Kingston Park car park will be open for this fixture, with spaces available for over 400 vehicles on a first come first served basis.

On site car parking is free for this fixture

Club Shop – Located on the ground floor of the East Stand, the club shop will be open from 10:00 and is already stocked with some great items from Thunder’s 2019 ISC range including the launch of the brand new 2019 home jersey.

Already in store are new season’s tech pro hoodies, polo shirts and training tops, while new look stadium jackets, bobble hats and coaches jackets are sure to prove popular for the early games of the season.

Supporter Accommodation – Spectators will watch the match from the East side of the ground. Seating and standing areas are available with specific tickets sold for each. Please follow directions from the Stewarding team when taking your seats.

Bars & Food – The East Stand “Tap & Tackle” and 1877 bar’s will be open from 09:00 serving a wide range of food and drinks while during the game. Additional food kiosks will be available inside the stadium bowl.

Pitch Access – Aspiring young Thunder players under the age of 16 are welcome to take to the pitch on the completion of Saturday’s fixture and play on the same surface as the professionals.

The club asks all supporters to be mindful of others playing on the pitch, in order that everyone can enjoy access to the field.

Post Match – The Tap & Tackle will be the focus of events after the match, with the venue open until 11 pm. Supporters will also be able to hear from the Man of the Match and from head coach Jason Payne shortly after the full-time whistle.
