A 25-year-old loose forward with almost 50 Super League appearances to his name, Wilde is a versatile player who can also play in the centres and second row. He is a highly rated talent who has played in some of the sport’s greatest and high stakes occasions.
Starting out with Warrington at 19, Wilde was a star for the Wolves in the 2016 Grand Final and after making 18 appearances, moved to Widnes Vikings where he has played the majority of his near 100 career games.
Wilde is another player who will renew acquaintances with Denis Betts at Kingston Park Stadium, with Thunder’s director of rugby the Vikings head coach when Wilde first featured on loan in 2017 and then became a permanent signing in 2018.
A strong force on the field, Wilde played in almost every game possible in 2019 and 2020, with that dependability something for Thunder fans to look forward to next season.
